Boston Terrier Silhouette

About Project:

When designing my little one’s room, I knew I wanted to keep it very simple and clean. So when it came to artwork on the walls, I thought black and white shapes would be great. I could only think of one very special black and white thing I wanted my little one to love….our sweet boston terrier, Pixie! Pixie was my baby for 8 years, so I naturally wanted my daughter to love her as much as I did. So I painted Pixie’s black silhouette to display in her room! I used a photograph of her, and traced the black parts of her face. Then by using the good-ole pencil transfer method, I got my image onto bristol paper. From there, I used acrylic paint to fill in her shape. It’s so funny, even though it’s just negative space, it looks just like her!
